WORX PROGRAMME
The Worx programme focuses on work opportunities and also
operates a "work crew". The crew undertakes employment with one
off and short term contracts such as events at Mystery Creek,
seasonal farm work and general maintenance activities.
At Gracelands Worx we aim:
To support clients with a mental health illness into
mainstream work
To assist clients with a mental health illness to extend
their life skills and work in work settings
To promote clients with a mental health illness as valued
members of our community
To support individual career aspirations
To support community integration
As an organisation we also look to foster networks and natural
support for people in the community. We do this to strengthen the
opportunities for both disabled people and the community as a whole.
How we do it?
We support the development of individualised plans for clients
to assist them to achieve their goals. We assist our clients to develop
their own CV and work ready skills. We provide a range of activities and
programmes for clients not currently engaged in work and provide links
into community participation.
How to access our service
Using our service is easy. We are contracted to the Ministry of Social
Development so there is no cost to the client. Clients can be referred
by another agency or can contact us directly. We will need to be
provided with some basic information about the client so we can complete
the registration. We will then work with you to support them towards
their employment goals.
