Training for independence and Maximum Abilities Programmes

Occupational Therapists work with people who have experienced a serious injury such as traumatic brain injury.

The aim is for the person to gain greater autonomy in their lives through engagement in specific rehabilitation or activity programmes.

Work Outcomes

Work Outcomes is a formal partnership with Physio Plus - Te Kuiti providing assessment and return to work services for people receiving earnings-related compensation through ACC or other accident insurance providers.

Gracelands Work Outcomes services are delivered by registered Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists and include:

Service Objectives

Assist and support injured workers to return to work in a safe and sustainable manner

Assist employers to return injured workers back to work in a safe and sustainable manner

Assist injured workers to identify their personal transferable skills and career options available, based on these skills

Educate injured workers and employers on self management strategies required to ensure safe and durable management of their injury within their work and personal life

To assist people with serious injury to become more independent within their own home or the community; developing sustainable social networks within the community.

How to access our Rehabilitation Service

Everyone using this service must be referred by ACC, other insurer, directly by their employer or other agency. There should be no cost to the person, the referral agent is responsible for payments.
