This service is provided for people with an Intellectual
Disability who have had some involvement with the Justice system
and require intensive support to participate in the community.
The service has been developed under the Intellectual Disability
(Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) Act 2003.
Our Aim
To support clients to function appropriately in community
and work settings
To develop appropriate life / social interpersonal
interactions
To support skill attainment through participation in a range
of prevocational and vocational activities
Staff work with clients on an individual basis or within groups
of various sizes. Activities used foster the achievement of
individual goals and the service aims. Significant emphasis is
placed on behaviour management strategies.
How to access our service
Everyone using this service must be referred by the Regional
Intellectual Disability Care Agency (RIDCA).

Cultural
Physical fitness e.g. swimming
Relaxation training
Social skills training
Art programmes
Literacy training
Skill based training e.g. repairs and maintenance, farming
Work crew based employment
back
